Shipping policy

Sustainability means really thinking about every step in the process, so we've carefully chosen our packaging and shipping options to meet our — and your — values.

We've moved some of our shipping directly from our Peru-based office. It removes a stop from the journey and cuts a substantial amount of carbon emissions by going straight to you.

We offer flat-rate $4.95 shipping to the United States. That covers all shipping and all tariffs, including on anything coming from Peru. We're working on extending it to more countries.

For products that ship from Peru

We've got tariffs covered — we absorb them to keep rates low and shipping seamless.

We batch-ship most orders from our office in Lima, Peru. Orders placed by noon PST Tuesday are fulfilled that Friday; anything after that goes into the following week's shipments. Once fulfilled, allow 3–7 days in transit.

Orders placed on or before Tuesday can't be changed after Wednesday.

These ship via FedEx, and a signature is required on delivery. We know that isn't always convenient and we're working with the carrier on other options.

Do you have a PO Box? FedEx can't deliver to one, so a physical street address is needed for anything shipping from Peru.

If a PO Box is your only option, ask your local post office to enable Street Addressing — that lets them accept private carrier packages. Use the post office's street address combined with your box number, e.g. 123 Main St #POB 456.

For products that ship from New York

Allow 5–8 business days within the continental U.S. These go USPS.

Packaging

We don't control the shipping packaging out of Peru, so anything with a Peru origin arrives in FedEx's regulated mailer. Everywhere we do have control, we use no plastic — compostable packaging only.
