Waste-Led Design

Convenient, quick and cute our innovative Knitty Bitties repurpose rescued deadstock yarn waste into fun and functional patches you can use to quickly stitch onto a knit sweater or even woven in need of patching like jeans or canvas jacket. Available in 2 sizes for covering those pesky tears, holes and stains of various sizes.

Knit Bitty stitch patches are made from production leftovers on a hand flat knitting machine. 11-inch tails are intentionally left on diagonal corners so that you can easily thread up and whipstitch these little color pops wherever you need. If you are intimidated by mending but like the idea of it, or you are short on time, or like the idea of experimenting with new things, these are your perfect go to.

Made from natural fibers, these patches will biodegrade once their life cycle has ended.

How to Use

For easy use, use the tails the whipstitch your patch onto the offending hole or stain. If you are feeling more creative, try using a contrast color to stitch them on, or consider embroidering on or around your patch. If you hate it later or want to repurpose your patch, just undo your knot and stitching and take it back off to reuse in the future.

Dimensions

Large patches measure 2 inches long by 1.5 inches high.

Recommendations

Merino patches are recommended for use on animal hair sweaters that you do not plan on washing or drying with heat. Cotton patches are recommended for items you do plan on tossing in the washer and dryer (i.e. jeans or cotton sweaters).
