We want you to have a healthy relationship with your clothes. Unfair working conditions don’t belong in your closet. Neither do clothes designed to fail. A hole or stain doesn’t have to be the end. That’s why we’re committed to ethically crafting high-quality, low-impact clothes and getting creative to keep things in circulation. 

This price felt especially unwarranted to us in our manufacturing base of Lima, surrounded by deadstock alpaca wool and Pima cotton—some of the most sought-after fibers in the world. We decided to create a third fate for deadstock. Because it’s senseless not to use perfectly good waste.

Designing based on leftovers is tricky. So is knitting with them. Lucky us, the skilled hands we needed were already in our community.

We use leftover (deadstock) yarn instead of creating more waste.

Our knits are made of 100% deadstock. We even use our own ends in our Deadstock Mending Kits. If we didn’t use this unwanted yarn, there’s a very good chance it could end up in landfills or stay on shelves, hidden from the world. An immeasurable amount of perfectly good textiles go to waste for various reasons, one being the fashion industry isn’t prepared to make use of it. So, we connect it with Peruvian artisans who turn it into lovely knits, ready for a lifetime of wear. 

We let color rule our design process instead of making rules for color.

In the conventional garment design process, colors are decided at the drawing table. We take a step back and see what colors are available first, then design based on what we find. It’s a puzzle that requires some serious creativity. But we love the challenge, and the results are always unique and unruly in the best way. Besides, color makes life vibrant and exciting!


We use high-quality fibers that stand the test of time.

Alpaca Wool

Alpaca wool is a highly sustainable, biodegradable fiber that can endure just about anything. Our alpaca wool deadstock is sourced right where it’s produced in Peru, where it also has ancient ties to knitting and Peruvian heritage textile culture. 

Pima Cotton

We use the finest of the fine cotton deadstock: Peruvian Pima. This cotton is soft, durable, hypoallergenic, and vegan-friendly. It can be composted at the end of its long life. It’s also wrinkle-resistant and easy to care for. 

We don't make knits and make waste. We make knits because of waste.

We believe in creating value with what already exists instead of creating waste. Today this means using deadstock alpaca wool and cotton. Tomorrow might bring a new opportunity to reimagine waste. We’ll be ready to get creative.
